THINGS TO DO & DINING
WHAT TO DO & WHERE TO EAT IN SALT LAKE
Ski City is more than four amazing mountain resorts: Alta, Brighton, Snowbird, and Solitude. It's a collection of distinct areas with everything from young-and-liberal downtown Salt Lake to cozy, family-friendly Sandy; from the diverse dining mecca of West Valley to the legendary snow patterns of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Salt Lake hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics, which set the area up for award-winning restaurants and breweries along with big city activities.
Ski City is an incubator and home base for hundreds of ski and outdoor businesses. It’s where thousands of restaurants and hundreds of bars have opened their doors. It’s where big city amenities meet with small town vibes. Ski City is a one-of-a-kind experience.
Here’s a loose agenda for a few unique days in Salt Lake:
- Wake up in the mountains, ski out the front door, and attend an NBA game after last chair.
- Eat bahn mi, see a concert, and spend the night in a boutique hotel, then grab a pour-over coffee and be on the lifts in 30 minutes.
- Learn to ski in the morning then stop by a natural history museum or aquarium that afternoon (kids optional).
Welcome to Salt Lake. Welcome to Ski City. Start exploring.
